Position Overview:
We are in search of a Patient Care Representative (PCR) who will act as the primary contact for patients, embodying the welcoming spirit of our practice. The PCR's main responsibilities include managing patient check-in and check-out processes with exceptional courtesy, respect, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcoming patients and facilitating their check-in process
- Handling incoming phone calls
- Coordinating appointment scheduling
- Confirming insurance details
- Exhibiting strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Employing critical thinking skills
- Demonstrating familiarity with medical terminology
- Operating standard office equipment and performing other general administrative tasks as needed
- Willingness to cross-train in various departmental roles
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of recent experience in clerical and administrative roles within a healthcare environment
- Outstanding customer service skills
- High School Diploma or GED is required
