Job Description

Overview: As a key member of the InterConnect Wiring team, the Scheduler plays a vital role in optimizing production workflows and ensuring timely delivery of products to our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and sustain production timelines, ensuring alignment with customer expectations for order fulfillment.
  • Input manufacturing tasks into the production management system efficiently.
  • Oversee the adjustment of existing order timelines to meet delivery commitments.
  • Monitor Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to validate component availability.
  • Collaborate with the Production Manager to forecast labor needs effectively.
  • Support the Purchasing department by integrating supplier delivery changes into the production schedule.
  • Participate in daily production discussions to align on priorities.
  • Develop scenarios and present production options to senior management to enhance cash flow management.
  • Provide labor demand projections to assist the Production Manager in staffing strategies.
  • Assess scheduling processes and suggest enhancements to improve operational efficiency.
  • Create comprehensive build plans using MS Project for larger manufacturing tasks.
  • Contribute to the design and upkeep of macros, reports, spreadsheets, and databases to refine the scheduling system.
  • Assist in generating runtime estimates for manufacturing processes.
  • Support the Production and IT teams in maintaining the Shop Floor Display System.
  • Generate and configure reports for the Shop Floor Display System.
  • Compile various production reports to assist production supervisors in decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with various departments.
  • Strong analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail and precision.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly within the MS Office suite and related scheduling tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft Access and familiarity with relational database principles is advantageous.
  • Capability to assess complex challenges related to material availability, labor needs, production capacity, and customer delivery in a dynamic environment.
  • Prior experience in production scheduling, ERP, or MRP within a manufacturing context is beneficial.
  • Understanding of or ability to develop VBA code/macros is a plus.
