Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Assembly Technician to join our team at Essner Manufacturing LP. As a Lead Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for leading a group of Assembly Technicians, coaching, mentoring, and guiding daily scheduling demands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Assembly Technicians by providing guidance and support to ensure efficient production.
- Work with the Area Supervisor to organize and manage tooling and supplies.
- Fabricate and assemble parts and components using fixtures, jigs, templates, and measuring instruments.
- Follow Engineering Assembly guidelines and provide technical feedback for Engineering Change Requests.
- Drill, tap, ream, countersink, and bolt parts together using hand tools and power tools.
- Install fasteners into various material types, including aluminum, titanium, Inconel, stainless steel, and hastelloy.
- Inspect, measure, verify, and approve assemblies and paperwork according to blueprints, engineering orders, assembly routes, test specifications, service bulletins, and customer requirements.
- Mix and use various adhesives according to engineered routing and customer specifications.
- Perform 100% visual inspection of assemblies.
- Identify defects in hardware, details, and assemblies.
- Assist in other production areas as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Manufacturing experience of 6 years.
- Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings.
- U.S. person status required due to ITAR regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Manufacturing experience of 10 years.
- Experience developing assembly tooling.
- Aerospace Assembly experience of 4 years.
