Job Responsibilities
  • The Resource Planner is tasked with the effective management of manufacturing resources, ensuring optimal process planning and maintenance.
  • Accountable for the consumption of Bills of Materials (BOM), creation of Computer Aided Planning (CAP) routings, and processing manufacturing item orders within the company's operational systems.
  • Possesses a solid understanding of production and processing operations.
  • Adheres to management strategies and departmental procedures while utilizing the company's business systems.
  • Must be adept at analyzing and interpreting various engineering documents, including drawings, models, BOMs, technical specifications, and quality documents.
  • Ensures accurate management and consumption of BOMs for manufacturing activities.
  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of work sequence documentation and CAP routings, including manufacturing item orders for NC Programs, tools, fixtures, and gauges.
  • Provides essential process planning support to manufacturing operations through maintenance of production orders and tool maintenance requests.
  • Creates and maintains necessary dimensional charts, manufacturing instructions, material operation diagrams, and ply tables as required.
  • Possesses a working knowledge of Loft, Engineering, Tooling, Manufacturing, and Planning processes, with skills in GD&T and aerospace tolerances.
  • Supports producibility assessments as needed.
  • Keeps accurate records and schedules of assigned work, ensuring compliance with cost control standards, schedules, and quality requirements.
  • Offers technical assistance to procurement and suppliers as directed by management.
  • Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Utilizes extensive knowledge of aircraft manufacturing and is prepared to train and validate Production Engineering work.
  • Educational Qualifications: Two years of college or equivalent experience in the aircraft industry, or completion of a related apprenticeship program.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform essential functions related to GD&T and aerospace tolerances.
