Role Responsibilities
The IT Infrastructure Administration team is tasked with the development and management of all Windows and Linux servers that support SPP's business operations. This includes oversight of essential infrastructure components such as Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, VMware vSphere, CyberArk, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, and HashiCorp Terraform.
As an IT Infrastructure Administrator II or Senior, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting research, developing configurations, installing, supporting, and maintaining computing resources essential for daily operations and services.
- Designing, documenting, and implementing systems and applications while identifying automation opportunities within team processes.
- Promoting efficiencies in departmental procedures and prioritizing automation efforts critical to the success of the IT department and SPP.
- Ensuring the reliable operation of computing resources that have significant economic implications and safeguard lives and property.
Qualifications
To excel in the role of IT Infrastructure Administrator II or Senior, candidates should possess:
- A bachelor's degree or certification in an Information Technology-related field, or equivalent experience.
- For Senior: At least six (6) years of experience in infrastructure support.
- For Level II: A minimum of three (3) years of experience in infrastructure support.
- Proven problem-solving skills and effective computing experience.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise server operating systems, applications, hardware configurations, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with tcp/ip v4 and v6 networking in relation to systems configuration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service and organizational abilities.
- Relevant technical certifications, such as:
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- Red Hat Certified System Engineer
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux Automation with Ansible
- VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization
- CyberArk Level Two: Defender or Level Three: Sentry
- Note: If certifications are not held, the selected candidate will have two years to obtain them.
Preferred Skills
- Scripting skills are advantageous.
Work Environment
This position operates within a professional office setting, utilizing standard office equipment.
Physical Requirements
The physical and mental demands necessary for this role include:
- Regular decision-making, data interpretation, and problem-solving.
- Frequent periods of standing or sitting; using hands for computer operation and standard office tasks.
- Occasional lifting and moving of items up to 10 pounds.
- Collaboration with managers and employees at all levels to exchange ideas and information.
Work Schedule
- This is a full-time role, typically Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Extended hours may be necessary, and participation in an on-call rotation is expected.
Travel Requirements
- Minimal travel is anticipated (approximately 10%).
