Job Title: IT Solutions Specialist II

At Arkansas Heart Hospital, we are seeking a highly skilled IT Solutions Specialist II to join our team. As a key member of our Solutions Center, you will play a critical role in providing technical consulting and support to our clinical and administrative staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build relationships with physicians and hospital staff to provide outstanding technical consulting and support.
  • Troubleshoot complex IT problems without relying on standard operating procedures.
  • Provide timely responses to incidents, outages, and performance alerts, and categorize issues for escalation to appropriate resources.
  • Travel to remote clinics as needed to support our team.
  • Monitor various information and network systems, including telecommunications circuits, LAN/WAN systems, routers, switches, firewalls, VoIP systems, servers, storage, backup, operating systems, and core applications.
  • Audit the quality of work performed by team members and provide constructive feedback when requested.
  • Notify customers and third-party service providers of issues, outages, and remediation status.
  • Serve as an escalation point for the Solutions Center and other support teams.
  • Advise users of information systems on current and future system plans.
  • Participate in meetings as required.
  • Maintain and grow existing operational documentation.
  • Adhere to all hospital and departmental safety policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, patient, financial, and other information.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required; college degree in an IT-related field preferred.
  • CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco/CCNA, Linux (Redhat), Microsoft hardware (installation), AWS, or other industry-relevant certifications preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role; experience working in a Network Operations Center or Security Operations Center preferred.
