The Technical Support Specialist is responsible for delivering technical assistance to all staff and contractors encountering issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.

This role involves providing both on-site and remote support, which includes setting up computer hardware, installing and upgrading software, and resolving IT-related challenges.

As the first point of contact for employees seeking technical support, this individual will focus on directing inquiries to the appropriate resources and escalating urgent matters as necessary.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Emphasis on responding to support requests.

Deliver direct client-side and remote Help Desk support to end-users facing operating system, connectivity, or application challenges.

Conduct hardware diagnostics and coordinate necessary repairs.

Address technical assistance requests using IT help desk ticketing systems.

Adhere to established Service Desk processes and procedures.

Ensure timely resolution of tickets, proper escalation, and thorough documentation.

Manage software and hardware upgrades/replacements as needed.

Oversee Active Directory management, configure systems for personnel changes, set up conference rooms, and execute PC refreshes.


REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school diploma or GED required; BA/BS degree preferred.

Certifications:
Relevant certifications may be required.

Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Extensive experience with PCs, Active Directory, and Intune.
  • Proficient in Microsoft O365 Products, Windows 10, MAC OS, and iOS.
  • Strong understanding of computer systems, hardware peripherals, networking, and software.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to provide on-site support for various job sites.
  • Strong knowledge of Intune and mobile device management for iPhones and iPads.
  • Experience with printer and plotter management and troubleshooting.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize tasks effectively within time constraints.
