Lead Quality Assurance Strategist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the Quality Management System of the organization.
  • Coordinate and supervise all internal and external audits.
  • Provide technical support for ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 compliance activities.
  • Collaborate with other Quality Managers to maintain and enhance process flow diagrams, control plans, and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Address customer complaints and product rejections effectively.
  • Engage with customers for reviews and sales support.
  • Assess and determine the disposition of materials.
  • Initiate claims with suppliers for any rejections resulting in nonconforming materials.
  • Assist in documenting the supplier claim process.
  • Support sales, operations, and purchasing teams with any quality-related issues or customer complaints.
  • Generate reports for monthly quality council meetings.
  • Manage external processes related to quality rejections, corrective actions, and auditing of their quality systems to ensure compliance with company and customer expectations.
  • Submit Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and International Material Data System (IMDS) requests as required by clients.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with carbon steel specifications, including ASTM and SAE industry standards.
  • Familiarity with JIS standards, particularly in relation to Nissan, Honda, and Toyota.
  • Extensive knowledge in the application and auditing of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 Quality Systems.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field focused on metallurgy.
  • 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance or metallurgy-related roles.
