Job Summary

This position is responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of supplied goods through the execution and maintenance of all QA programs, meeting state and Compass requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food safety and quality assurance, with experience in HACCP program development and ServSafe and third-party audits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Quality Assurance and Safety Reporting: Promote, enforce, maintain, and verify Quality Assurance (QA) and safety reporting standards.
  • Feedback and Training: Provide written feedback to unit managers and chefs regarding non-compliance observations and train associates on all QA policies and procedures.
  • QA Challenges and Crisis Management: Work with managers to find solutions to QA challenges and crisis.
  • Communication and Liaison: Liaise with client, senior management, and unit managers and chefs on all QA issues.
  • Inspections and Audits: Participate in all BOH inspections and all external audits.
  • Record Keeping and Data Management: Maintain accurate records and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Education: Associate's Degree
  • Experience: Experience with HACCP program development and ServSafe and third-party audits
  • Knowledge: Working knowledge of food regulations, i.e. FDA, USDA, and industry practice
  • Skills: Strong data management, reporting, and technical writing skills, proficient in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Outlook
