Vice President of Financial Operations, Real Estate

SBM Management is seeking a Vice President of Financial Operations for Real Estate to enhance our financial leadership team. The individual in this role will oversee the financial strategy and accounting functions for both residential and commercial properties across various projects. This position is crucial for supporting ongoing and future developments through effective financial management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the ongoing assessment and development of both short-term and long-term financial strategies.
  • Take an active role in the creation, implementation, and upkeep of a thorough job costing system.
  • Oversee financial forecasting, budgeting, consolidation, and reporting processes.
  • Coordinate the preparation of comprehensive financial statements and management analysis.
  • Maintain open communication channels with the investment community.
  • Act as the financial leader with a strong focus on improving business outcomes.
  • Conduct monthly evaluations of Pro Forma results to monitor project performance and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the President of Real Estate to develop long-term business goals and identify initiatives to achieve them.
  • Represent Real Estate Finance in various cross-functional project teams.
  • Engage with owners, development teams, equity partners, lenders, and other stakeholders as necessary.
  • Manage the preparation of applications for equity and debt transactions related to projects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or real estate; a Master's degree, CPA, or CFA is preferred.
  • Five to ten years of experience analyzing residential and commercial real estate markets.
  • Five to ten years of industry experience in residential and commercial development, from acquisition through to build-out.
  • Proven ability to identify key market drivers and assess their impact on real estate markets.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A valid driver's license may be required.

Compensation: $300,000 - $350,000 per year
