SUMMARY: MyOutDesk is experiencing rapid growth and is on the lookout for a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Finance to join our Executive Team.

POSITION:

The Vice President of Finance will report directly to the CEO and will play a crucial role as a senior leader within the organization. This position will involve close collaboration with the CEO to develop and implement financial and operational strategies that align with the Company's and its subsidiaries' long-term objectives. The Vice President will provide insights to the senior management team regarding the financial ramifications and risks associated with significant decisions and will keep them informed about the Company's financial health, while also preparing financial projections to steer the business effectively.

Additionally, the Vice President will oversee the Finance and Accounting teams, delivering strategic financial guidance and support to enhance the overall operations of MyOutDesk. Responsibilities will include managing all financial reporting and accounting functions, negotiating agreements with key partners and vendors, including insurance providers and consumer goods, and establishing data management and operational reporting systems to facilitate informed decision-making. The CEO seeks a collaborative partner to enhance operational efficiencies and sustainability across the organization.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

  • Oversee all financial, accounting, and risk management operations; lead team members (both direct reports and potentially other essential staff outside the finance division as business needs arise);
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly financial analysis packages for the Board, investors, and financial institutions;
  • Coordinate and prepare the annual budget and interim financial forecasts;
  • Monitor and proactively communicate operational results to the CEO and management team;
  • Manage cash flow and compliance with bank covenants;
  • Develop data management and analytics for operational reporting and strategic execution;
  • Collaborate with insurance brokers and legal advisors to determine optimal options for policy renewals, coverage, and claims management;
  • Direct the activities of external auditors, tax professionals, and legal advisors on various matters, including annual audits and tax strategy planning; review state and federal tax returns prior to submission;
  • Review and negotiate client contracts and master service agreements with assistance from legal counsel and key stakeholders;
  • Conduct financial modeling and analysis for senior management as required;
  • Provide financial support to HR and Operations, particularly for annual incentive plan calculations, 401(k) compliance, policy renewals, reinsurance, and rate development; support IT and Operations with vendor agreements, cost negotiations, and key purchasing decisions;
  • Assess potential acquisitions and investments to assist with due diligence, recommendations, letters of intent, buy/sell agreements, start-up, and integration.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current or recent experience as a CFO (or similar role), preferably in a B2B, BPO, IT, or Business Services environment; alternatively, a senior finance executive reporting to a CFO in these sectors will be considered based on overall skills and experience;
  • Exceptional business acumen and analytical skills with extensive experience in developing and managing accounting policies, internal financial controls, financial analytical tools, and reporting systems;
  • Experience in a rapidly growing organization and adept at navigating the challenges and opportunities presented by such an environment;
  • Highly organized and disciplined with a strong capability to plan, measure, and execute complex business processes;
  • Expertise in financial planning and detailed reporting, with a focus on budgeting, cost analysis, and forecasting using operational metrics;
  • Thorough understanding and experience with GAAP accounting and financial reporting;
  • Experience interacting with the investment community (including investment and commercial banks and shareholders); experience in a private equity-backed organization is preferred;
  • Experience presenting to and collaborating closely with a Board of Directors;
  • Strong academic credentials; an MBA and/or CPA is desirable; public accounting experience is a plus.
