Position Overview

Lycoming College is seeking an Office Coordinator for Residential Life and Community Standards to enhance our Student Life division.

As one of the oldest residential liberal arts institutions in the United States, Lycoming College is committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable environment for all faculty, staff, and students. This full-time role entails providing extensive administrative assistance to the Office of Residential Life. The selected individual must be highly sensitive to the diverse needs and experiences of our community members and adept at enhancing the campus experience for all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Support

  • Act as the primary contact for inquiries directed to the Residential Life Office and the Director of Community Standards.
  • Provide administrative support to Health Services and Counseling Services.
  • Serve as the liaison between Residential Life and Conference Services.
  • Manage office supplies, filing systems, and maintain organized records.
  • Coordinate appointments, meetings, and events for the Director and department.
  • Supervise student workers and manage departmental equipment maintenance.
  • Oversee budget management and vendor coordination for campus services.
  • Prepare and distribute materials for Residential Life staff and maintain department webpages.

Student Conduct Management

  • Schedule and manage appointments related to student conduct issues.
  • Maintain confidential records and manage the student conduct code database.
  • Assist in the preparation of conduct hearings and statistical reports.

Housing Process Support

  • Assist in the room selection process and manage housing applications.
  • Support residence hall check-in and check-out procedures.

Qualifications

Educational Background: High School diploma required; Associate degree preferred.

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of general office experience is required.

  • Commitment to inclusivity and confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
