Core Responsibilities:
As the Nurse Practitioner Inpatient Lead, you will:

  • Provide advanced healthcare services to individuals, families, and groups, ensuring high-quality clinical care.
  • Oversee the activities of inpatient nurse practitioners, offering guidance, orientation, and training.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients with complex acute, critical, and chronic conditions.
  • Utilize relevant data to evaluate physiological stability and develop comprehensive care plans.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions to address urgent health issues, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
  • Continuously manage and modify care plans based on patient responses to treatment.
  • Serve as an educational resource for patients, families, and healthcare team members, promoting a culture of learning.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and quality care, actively participating in safety initiatives.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Advanced Acute Care Nursing.
  • Completion of an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program.
  • A Master's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Current licensure as an RN and APRN in Louisiana.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.

Skills and Abilities:
Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Proficiency in advanced practice nursing procedures.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Competence in utilizing technology for patient care management.
