Job Summary

The Patient Safety Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient safety and quality care at the Veterans Health Administration. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to identify and mitigate risks, as well as improving patient outcomes through data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement patient safety programs and initiatives to reduce medical errors and improve patient outcomes.
  • Conduct root cause analyses and investigations to identify and address safety concerns.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to patient safety and quality care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to identify and address safety concerns and improve patient outcomes.
  • Provide education and training to healthcare staff on patient safety and quality care.
  • Monitor and analyze patient safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement projects to improve patient outcomes and reduce medical errors.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in nursing, healthcare administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in patient safety, quality improvement, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
