Responsibilities
We are in search of a dedicated Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Manager to enhance our Culture of Safety, which is vital for the effectiveness of our Patient Safety Plan, Just Culture, and Patient-Family-Centered Care initiatives.
In this pivotal role, you will become a key member of a proactive department focused on safeguarding our organization and the patients we serve. Your responsibilities will include developing a unified strategy for quality enhancement throughout the organization.
Aligned with our fundamental principle of Continuous Quality Improvement, you will facilitate the creation, coordination, and execution of a quality improvement program that guarantees the provision of superior services across all divisions.
Clinical experience at the bedside is crucial for this position, as it will shape your perspective on patient safety and quality enhancement initiatives.
In this capacity, you will lead safety evaluations and co-manage the activities of the Continuous Accreditation Readiness and Patient Safety Committee.
You will also provide education to practitioners, management, and staff regarding systemic causes of medical errors and disseminate evidence-based practices for effective patient safety strategies among stakeholders.
Furthermore, you will oversee the execution of the quality management program and collaborate on ongoing Performance Improvement initiatives, contributing to our hospital's mission of delivering the highest standard of care.
Qualifications
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in healthcare-related quality management or performance improvement (e.g., chart audits, PI team member, etc.).
• At least three (3) years of clinical experience in an acute care environment.
• A Bachelor's degree or five (5) years of relevant job or industry experience in lieu of a degree.
• Current state license in a clinical field relevant to the practice area.
• Certification as a Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Healthcare Quality and Management Certification (HCQM), or Certificate of Professional Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety (CPQPS) is required within two years of employment.
• Registered Nurse designation is preferred.
Pay Range
$71.34 /hour
