Overview:

The Clinical Nurse Educator Lead is accountable for the comprehensive management and orchestration of formal clinical education initiatives. This role involves directing the strategic planning, development, and implementation of clinical educational programs tailored to fulfill the learning requirements of all nursing personnel. The position also encompasses the identification of clinical training necessities within the organization and the formulation and supervision of curriculum development. Furthermore, this role is pivotal in organizing and facilitating leadership development programs for charge nurses and preceptors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts continuous needs assessments in collaboration with clinical leadership to plan and coordinate the creation of educational programs as required, establishing both short-term and long-term objectives based on identified priorities.
  • Oversees and directs the formulation of annual clinical education strategies aligned with the organization’s needs assessment.
  • Manages staff performance, including the evaluation of instructional methods, training delivery, content quality, and course feedback.
  • Develops and enforces clinical education and training policies and procedures that enhance the overall effectiveness of the organization.
  • Provides leadership and guidance for designated educational programs as necessary.
  • Engages in the ongoing coordination and enhancement of medical-surgical residency and ECG training programs.
  • Facilitates organization-wide initiatives for continued education in advanced cardiac life support and basic life support as an instructor.
  • Participates in team projects, meetings, and community outreach events as required, accepting special assignments related to the educational process.
  • Contributes to facility process improvement initiatives by engaging in projects identified based on specific needs.
  • Supports the organization’s overarching goals related to excellence and service standards.
  • Coordinates training requests in alignment with the objectives set by nursing leadership and the education director.
  • Effectively promotes and markets educational initiatives within the organization as part of the strategic plan.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • Active RN License in the state of employment or compact
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
