Overview:

The Clinical Educator Lead is accountable for the management and organization of comprehensive clinical education initiatives. This role involves directing the design, development, and implementation of educational programs tailored to fulfill the learning requirements of nursing staff. The position requires the identification of clinical training needs within the organization and the oversight of curriculum development. Additionally, the Clinical Educator Lead will facilitate leadership development programs for charge nurses and preceptors, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular assessments of educational needs in collaboration with clinical leadership, establishing both short-term and long-term educational objectives based on identified priorities.
  • Oversee the formulation and execution of annual clinical education strategies, guided by the results of the needs assessment.
  • Manage staff performance through the evaluation of teaching methodologies, training delivery, content relevance, and course effectiveness.
  • Develop and enforce clinical education policies and procedures that enhance the overall effectiveness of the organization.
  • Provide leadership and guidance for designated educational programs as required.
  • Engage in the ongoing development and coordination of residency programs and ECG training.
  • Support organization-wide initiatives for advanced cardiac life support and basic life support education as an instructor.
  • Participate in team collaborations, meetings, and community outreach events as necessary, accepting special projects related to educational coordination.
  • Contribute to facility improvement initiatives by participating in projects that address identified needs.
  • Support the organization's overarching goals related to excellence and service standards.
  • Coordinate training requests in alignment with the objectives set by nursing leadership and the education director.
  • Effectively promote educational initiatives within the organization as part of the strategic framework.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • Current RN License in the state of employment or compact
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
