Clinical Nurse Educator Lead

Overview:
The Clinical Educator Lead is accountable for the management and orchestration of all formal clinical training initiatives. This role involves steering the design, development, and implementation of educational programs tailored to fulfill the learning requirements of nursing personnel. The position necessitates the identification of clinical training necessities within the organization and the creation and supervision of curriculum development. Additionally, the role includes planning and facilitating leadership development programs for charge nurses and preceptors. The Clinical Educator Lead collaborates closely with nursing leadership to address educational needs and guides the creation of instructional programs across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts continuous assessments of educational needs in collaboration with clinical leadership, planning and coordinating the development of relevant educational programs. Establishes short and long-term objectives based on identified priorities.
- Oversees and directs the formulation of annual clinical education strategies in alignment with organizational needs assessments.
- Manages staff performance, including evaluating teaching methodologies, delivery, training effectiveness, content quality, and course evaluations.
- Develops and enforces clinical education and training policies and procedures that enhance the overall effectiveness of the organization.
- Provides leadership and guidance for designated educational programs as required.
- Engages in the ongoing coordination and enhancement of the medical-surgical residency and ECG programs.
- Supports organization-wide initiatives for ongoing education in advanced cardiac life support and basic life support as an instructor.
- Participates in team projects, meetings, and community outreach as necessary, accepting special assignments related to the educational process.
- Contributes to facility process improvement initiatives by participating in projects identified based on organizational needs.
- Aligns with the organization's overarching goals concerning the five pillars of excellence and service objectives.
- Coordinates training requests in accordance with the established goals of nursing leadership and the education director.
- Effectively promotes and markets educational initiatives within the organization as part of the strategic plan.
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Current RN License in the state of employment or compact
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
