The Clinical Education Program Manager is accountable for the strategic oversight and management of all formal clinical training initiatives. This role entails directing the planning, development, and implementation of educational programs tailored to fulfill the learning requirements of nursing staff. The position involves identifying the clinical training needs of the organization and overseeing the creation of relevant curricula. Additionally, this role is responsible for the planning and facilitation of leadership development programs for charge nurses and preceptors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct ongoing assessments of educational needs in collaboration with clinical leadership, establishing both short-term and long-term goals based on identified priorities.
- Guide and oversee the formulation of annual clinical education plans aligned with the organization’s needs assessment.
- Manage staff performance, including the evaluation of teaching methodologies, content delivery, and course assessments.
- Develop and enforce clinical education policies and procedures that enhance the overall effectiveness of the organization.
- Provide leadership and direction for designated educational programs as required.
- Engage in the continuous development and coordination of specialized residency programs.
- Support organization-wide initiatives for ongoing education in advanced cardiac life support and basic life support.
- Participate in team projects, meetings, and community events, accepting special assignments related to educational coordination.
- Contribute to facility improvement initiatives by engaging in projects that address identified needs.
- Align educational efforts with the organization’s strategic goals and service excellence standards.
- Coordinate training requests in accordance with the objectives set by nursing leadership.
- Effectively promote educational initiatives as part of the organization’s strategic vision.
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Current RN License in the state of employment or compact
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
