Qualifications and Requirements for Mechanical Maintenance Team Leader
  • Applicants must possess valid authorization to work in the United States.
  • A degree in Mechanical Maintenance or related fields, or substantial industry experience in a Production Manufacturing setting.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role within Mechanical Maintenance.
Key Responsibilities: include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Adhere to the company's hygiene processes, procedures, and policies relevant to Mechanical Maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Foster a safe working environment through regular safety discussions tailored to specific jobs and seasons.
  • Oversee the assigned team in all mechanical maintenance tasks, encompassing repairs of production equipment and preventive maintenance measures.
  • Execute supervisory functions such as scheduling, safety management, cost reduction initiatives, training, disciplinary actions, and record-keeping to ensure efficient departmental operations.
  • Delegate scheduled tasks and supervise daily activities of personnel, focusing on job safety, quality, and craftsmanship.
  • Organize and manage maintenance days to maximize manpower utilization and minimize reliance on subcontracted services.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and external consultants to formulate plans for mechanical enhancements and installations.
  • Identify and implement improvements in work practices and procedures employed by mechanical staff.
  • Participate in departmental meetings to review the current day's schedule, plan for the following day and week, and report on Maintenance Key Performance Indicators.
  • Utilize a work order system at any stage of its process.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Physical Requirements: While executing the responsibilities of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, reach, lift, stretch, stoop, bend, climb ladders/stairs, and utilize hands and fingers. This role necessitates the ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English. The employee must possess hearing ability and color vision.
