Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manufacturing Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Quality Pork Processors. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for directing the mechanical staff in maintaining and repairing all mechanical equipment within our pork processing plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all equipment is in optimal condition, performing preventative and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Supervision and Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of mechanical staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their duties effectively.
  • Safety and Compliance: Promote a safe working environment, ensuring all staff follow hygiene processes and policies to uphold safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Operations Management: Schedule, assign work, and oversee personnel regarding job safety, quality, and workmanship. Plan and manage maintenance days to maximize manpower and reduce subcontracted work.
  • Improvement and Development: Assist engineering and outside consultants in developing plans for mechanical improvements and installations. Identify improvements in work practices and attend meetings to discuss schedules and report on KPIs.
Requirements
  • Authorization: Authorization to work in the United States.
  • Education and Experience: Degree in a mechanical maintenance field or equivalent industry experience in a production manufacturing environment. 3+ years of mechanical maintenance supervisory experience.
