About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Operations Manager to join our team at AEG. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of our game day experience operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment and Staff Management: Recruit, hire, and train local staff to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Event Logistics: Coordinate event schedules, ensure proper event materials are available, and manage staff payroll using our ABI MasterMind software.
  • Leadership and Communication: Provide leadership support to Operations Managers and Regional Operations Managers, communicate regularly to ensure smooth operations, and build strong relationships with clients.
  • Training and Development: Lead small-scale staff training sessions to ensure compliance with company standards and client requirements.
  • Event Management: Manage event operations, including creating events, scheduling staff, and entering payroll.
  • Compliance and Administration: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and manage account event monthly recruitment, training, and communication.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; equivalent experience through work experience may be considered.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of large-scale sports and event management experience, collegiate or professional football experience, or emergency management experience preferred.
  • Leadership and Communication: Proven leadership and effective communication experience in managing large groups of people in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, computer literacy, and working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Customer Service: Emphasis on customer service and working well within a team atmosphere.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
Working Conditions
  • Supervision: Position functions under the direct supervision of the account-specific Operations Manager.
  • Independence: Position functions with some independence in the management of day-to-day duties and responsibilities.
  • Work Schedule: Frequently required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to move in a quick, energetic manner, and stand for long periods during events.
