Social Studies Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Social Studies educator to join our team at United Charter High Schools. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students and contributing to our mission of providing high-quality educational opportunities for students in underserved communities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners and align with Common Core State Standards.
- Prepare students for success on New York State Regents Social Studies exams and foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals and contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices in education and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (Master's degree preferred).
- Valid New York State Social Studies Certification.
- Proven track record of planning lessons with clear learning objectives and assessing student progress.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Demonstrated content knowledge and familiarity with Common Core State Standards.
- Demonstrated success in tailoring instruction to the needs of diverse learners.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve common goals.
- Experience working with educational technology.
