Information Technology Support Analyst

Position Overview:

Exeter Government Services LLC is looking for a skilled Information Technology (IT) Support Analyst to fulfill the role of Workstation Management Specialist. This position is crucial in delivering technical support for various IT functions.

Required Clearance:
SECRET

Required Certifications:
CompTIA A+, Network +, and SEC+ CE

Education Requirements:
High School Diploma

Experience:
2-5+ years in a related field

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary liaison between the organization and the local Network Enterprise Center (NEC).
  • Conduct configuration management tasks to document and control the functional and physical attributes of systems and networks.
  • Engage in the planning, coordination, and documentation of software and hardware releases.
  • Identify and track necessary modifications to enhance the hardware and software configurations.
  • Serve as a technical expert in computer systems security.
  • Recommend and assist in implementing standard operating procedures and controls for various IT systems.
  • Support the development or acquisition of systems software tools for managing security mechanisms.
  • Review existing software and procedures, providing methods for reporting and rectifying security violations.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies during software and equipment installations.
  • Provide user support by responding to inquiries and maintaining records of reported issues.
  • Field incoming help requests from users via various channels.
  • Support hardware and software by configuring applications and diagnosing equipment issues.
  • Monitor software updates pushed by the NEC.
  • Track networked hardware IP and datajack numbers.
  • Establish and resolve connectivity issues between local and NEC systems.

Essential Skills:
  • Ability to analyze and present information effectively.
  • Understanding of rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of current automation technologies.
  • Familiarity with computer security principles.
  • Comprehension of network administration and connectivity requirements.
  • Proficiency in data modeling methodologies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers.
  • Knowledge of LAN and networking technologies.
  • Understanding of technical analysis procedures for hardware evaluations.
