Clinical Assistant

A clinical assistant position is available at the Carolina Asthma and Allergy Center Master. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their specific physicians' clinic daily, including traveling with their assigned provider 5 days a week and all CAAC clinics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a review of the patient schedule for the day and discuss with the physician and colleagues any specific questions, instructions, and assignments known prior to the patient's arrival.
- Perform a brief assessment of the patient during intake and communicate key information to the physician prior to them entering the room.
- Manage the clinical triage for their provider, including completion of Rx, forms, prior authorizations, lab results, and communication with referring physicians.
- Respond to tasks by the end of the business day and ensure completion within a 48-hour period.
- Ensure the completion of and the initial interpretation of prick skin tests, intradermal testing, PFT, and FeNO tests, medication and venom testing following protocols and procedures.
- Coordinate and assist team members with cleaning, organizing, stocking, and putting supplies away, preparing the office to run efficiently.
Requirements:
- MA/RMA/CMA/CCMA certification.
- Current BLS Certificate required.
- Minimum one year of clinical experience.
- Must possess current health records with the appropriate immunizations to work in the health care field.
