Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our Primary Care team at Tryon Medical Partners. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing clinical and administrative support to our healthcare team. Your responsibilities will include assisting physicians with patient care, handling clerical tasks, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Escort patients to exam rooms and assist with vital sign measurements, patient interviews, and physical examinations.
  • Assist with laboratory procedures, including capillary punctures and venipunctures, and maintain accurate records.
  • Administer medications and injections, and assist with minor surgery and surgical tray setup.
  • Provide patient education and instructions, and serve as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, and ensure that all necessary information is available for healthcare providers.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, handling phone calls, and completing forms and prior authorizations.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program.
  • Medical Assistant certification preferred.
  • Maintain American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification.
  • Completion of Hepatitis B Vaccine and Flu Vaccine Form required.
  • Minimum one year of recent experience working in a medical facility as a medical assistant.

Work Environment:
  • Work consistently requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling.
  • Must be able to lift and support weight of 35 pounds.
  • Ability to concentrate on details and use computer for long periods of time.
