Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Ophthalmic Assistant to join our team at CEENTA. As an Ophthalmic Assistant, you will provide clinical and administrative support to our physicians, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical support to our physicians, including obtaining and documenting patient information, reconciling medications and allergies, and performing preliminary ophthalmic work-ups.
  • Assist with patient examinations, treatments, and in-office procedures, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including ordering supplies, stocking rooms, scheduling appointments, and responding to patient messages and prescription refill requests.
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient clinic operations.
Requirements
  • One to three years' experience as an ophthalmic assistant.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of an International Council of Accreditation (ICA) accredited clinical training program or completion of an International Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (IJCAHPO) or American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) independent study course preferred.
  • Current Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) certification from the IJCAHPO preferred.
