The Head of Strategic Partnerships is tasked with uncovering and cultivating new avenues for business growth, including new clientele, projects, markets, and service offerings, while amplifying the company's visibility and brand reputation.

While the Executive Team oversees existing client relationships, the Business Development department plays a crucial role in identifying new opportunities within this segment.

This role encompasses the development of new clients and projects, monitoring emerging markets and trends, recommending innovative products and services, establishing and nurturing strategic alliances, and supporting long-term business development goals aligned with Chesapeake's strategic vision.


Key Responsibilities:
Identify growth opportunities with current clients.

Evaluate potential customers and strategic partners to forge new business connections while remaining informed about competitive and prospective client activities on both local and national levels.

Recognize potential avenues for expansion in terms of geography, products, and services.

Explore and assess, under the guidance of the executive team, opportunities in new territories where market sectors and potential/existing clients align with our strategic objectives.

Attend industry conferences and networking events that resonate with Chesapeake's mission. Maintain and manage Chesapeake's CRM software to ensure it is accurate and up-to-date. Develop and oversee the annual business development budget. Collaborate with the marketing team to create and present proposals and presentations that bolster business development initiatives.

Uphold the company's dedication to fostering strong relationships through exceptional customer service and act as a representative for Chesapeake.


Minimum Qualifications:
Demonstrated success in enhancing strategic business partnerships. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related discipline. Over 8 years of experience in business development or sales within the construction sector. Familiarity with the construction industry and experience in a business development capacity within this field. Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to conduct market research, analyze trends, and present findings to the team. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Prezi, and Outlook.
