**Job Summary:**

Richmond University Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Reimbursement Specialist to join our team in the Health Information Management Department (HIM). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and organizing the clinical reimbursement area in accordance with hospital policies, DOH, JCAHO, and HIPAA regulations.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement clinical reimbursement strategies to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement for patient services.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of medical records to identify and resolve reimbursement discrepancies.
  • Provide training and education to healthcare staff on clinical reimbursement policies and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
  • Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification.
  • At least five years of progressive experience in clinical reimbursement, with a strong background in MS-DRG coding and validation.
  • Intermediate knowledge of office software products, including Experience Invasion, Comp care, or Smart.
  • Knowledge of N-Coder or 3M.
