Position Overview:
As a Patient Access Representative, you are integral to the efficient functioning of the healthcare facility, ensuring exceptional patient care and outstanding customer service.

Your key responsibilities include welcoming and assisting patients, managing appointment schedules, maintaining precise records, and providing vital administrative support. You will also be tasked with securing authorizations and navigating insurance processes to facilitate healthcare delivery.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a medical assistant certificate program is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical receptionist or administrative role within the healthcare sector.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Capability to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Willingness to travel between JAG locations as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome patients and visitors to the medical office.
  • Respond to patient inquiries and provide assistance as needed.
  • Handle incoming calls to the general office number.
  • Utilize medical office software for scheduling appointments.
  • Register new patients and update necessary records.
  • Ensure completion of required forms and paperwork by patients.
  • Collect patient financial responsibilities daily.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient information.
  • Complete and track insurance verifications, authorizations, and referrals.
  • Knowledge of Workers' Compensation and Auto claim submissions is beneficial.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
