Job Overview

Tal Healthcare is partnering with a prestigious healthcare organization and renowned educational institution to find their Executive Vice President of Operations. This not-for-profit healthcare entity is committed to providing exceptional, comprehensive, acute, primary, specialty, and surgical services to a diverse array of communities within the NY Metropolitan area. The Executive Vice President will play a vital leadership role, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer. In this essential capacity, they will work closely with senior leadership and the Board of Directors to formulate and execute strategies that align with both immediate and long-term organizational objectives. The Executive Vice President will engage, integrate, coordinate, oversee, and lead various initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the overall effectiveness of hospital operations by leading and developing operational and strategic plans for the divisions.
  • Collaborate with the CEO to establish and drive the organizational vision, operational strategy, and staffing levels.
  • Transform strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operational planning.
  • Facilitate a collaborative approach in the development of hospital services, demonstrating the ability to navigate the health system's decision-making and organizational frameworks.
  • Concentrate on systems and program development, quality assurance, financial management, compliance, clinical management metrics, physician relations, outreach strategies, workplace culture enhancement, and internal communication and consensus-building. Ensure that resources are effectively allocated across the enterprise to meet the healthcare needs of the communities served.
  • Represent the hospital at the Health System Board of Directors level appropriately.
  • Foster effective collaboration among clinical departments, divisions, medical staff leadership, faculty, and other affiliated services both within and outside the hospital, ensuring an integrated approach to delivering services and achieving the hospital's clinical, research, and educational objectives.
  • Work with the management team and medical leadership to reduce costs, enhance revenues, optimize utilization, and meet quality goals and objectives. Utilize data to support management decisions.
  • Communicate critical information to stakeholders regarding managed care, market demands, competitive landscape, cost management, and customer-focused services.
  • Implement strategic business decisions at a senior level, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic direction and objectives.
  • Contribute to healthcare safety and excellence.
Qualifications:
  • A Master's degree / MBA and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience are required.
  • Detail-oriented with proven analytical capabilities.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, characterized by steadfast resolve and personal integrity.
  • Strong understanding of data analysis and performance metrics.
  • Adhere to regulatory requirements, including all state, federal, and local regulations.
  • Comply with organizational policies and standards regarding ethical business practices.
  • Effectively communicate the mission, ethics, and goals of the organization.
  • Engage in performance improvement and continuous quality enhancement activities.
  • Participate in relevant committee and management meetings.
  • Consistently communicate administrative directives to personnel and promote interactive departmental meetings and discussions.
