Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Assistant to join our team at Mindlance. As a Clinical Laboratory Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our laboratory professionals and facilitating production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sort and receive specimens in the department, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Perform routine instrument maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Conduct laboratory tasks such as centrifuging specimens, printing labels, and recording data.
  • Prepare reagents and media, as well as specimens for testing.
  • Perform quality control and quality assurance duties as assigned.
  • Resolve pending lists and locate missing samples.
  • Decontaminate work areas and maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Perform weekly radioactive wipe tests and maintain department records.
  • Change gas cylinders and follow all safety regulations.
  • Operate laboratory computers and PCs, as well as dispose of biohazardous materials.
  • Complete training and competency checklists as required.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant training helpful.
  • Math and science courses preferred.
  • Ability to establish work priorities and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to retain information and learn new procedures.
