Compensation: $19-$20 per hour
Contract Duration: 3+ Months
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm
Compensation Details: Pay rate is determined by experience and educational background.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Laboratory Technician, your primary duties will include:
- Receiving, sorting, and preparing samples for laboratory analysis.
- Conducting routine maintenance on laboratory instruments.
- Centrifuging samples, generating labels, and documenting temperature readings.
- Preparing necessary reagents and media for testing procedures.
- Assisting in the preparation of specimens at workstations, including aliquoting and slide preparation.
- Performing quality assurance and quality control tasks as assigned.
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to decontamination protocols.
- Handling biohazardous materials and executing radioactive wipe tests.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; training in medical assistance is a plus; coursework in mathematics and sciences is preferred.
Experience: No prior experience is necessary; comprehensive training will be provided.
Special Skills:
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and enhance workstation productivity.
- Strong attention to detail and capacity to retain critical information.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration with colleagues and clients.
- Familiarity with laboratory information systems and basic computer operations.
- Adherence to personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety regulations is mandatory.
