Parking Operations Manager

ASM Global, a leader in the management of public assembly venues, is seeking a dedicated Parking Operations Manager to oversee parking services.

The Parking Operations Manager will be accountable for the comprehensive management of parking personnel and operational functions during designated shifts. This role also involves supporting the organization of special initiatives and fulfilling additional responsibilities as required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as the primary contact between the Parking division and the Public Safety Department.
Conduct thorough inspections of all facilities and their equipment during each shift.

Provide a detailed shift report regarding the operational status of parking access and revenue control systems, along with any notable incidents or issues to the Parking Coordinator and management team.

Oversee the daily functions of parking staff to ensure adherence to established standards.
Foster a culture of leadership and teamwork, effectively communicating policies and operational updates while prioritizing safety.
Encourage a collaborative environment that promotes open dialogue and constructive problem-solving.
Perform random audits on parking transactions for cashiers and manage change banks.
Monitor staff attendance and appearance, addressing any breaches of company policies.
Review cashier revenue reconciliation processes, identifying any discrepancies in line with departmental guidelines.
Address customer concerns and inquiries, enhancing customer relations through attentive service.

Assist the Parking Coordinator in reviewing shift documentation, conducting audits, compiling management reports, analyzing parking system activity, participating in meetings, aiding in the recruitment of new hires, and supporting the implementation of the company's disciplinary procedures.

Uphold departmental standards related to customer service, professional appearance, attendance, revenue management, and financial accountability.
Implement and enforce actions in accordance with the Progressive Disciplinary Policy.
Manage issues related to parking revenue control equipment, ensuring timely replenishment of supplies and cash changes.
Plan and oversee general maintenance tasks within facilities.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Parking Manager or Coordinators.

QUALIFICATIONS:


Proven expertise in parking operations, including cashiering, financial reconciliation, facility maintenance, and customer service, with a solid understanding of mechanical and computerized parking access and revenue control systems.

Possession of reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required (a college degree is preferred). A minimum of two years of experience in parking management or supervisory roles is necessary.

SKILLS AND APTITUDES:
This position necessitates the ability to engage effectively with diverse individuals. Strong interpersonal skills are required to collaborate with colleagues, customers, vendors, and facility visitors.
Must demonstrate a courteous demeanor towards all individuals and work collaboratively as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is required, along with strong organizational skills.
A keen attention to detail is crucial.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
Ability to operate a standard shift vehicle is required.
Familiarity with Tennant brand or similar equipment is preferred. A valid driver's license for Ohio is mandatory.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, in various weather conditions.
Must be capable of performing minor physical tasks, including lifting up to fifty pounds.
