About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Lead to join our team at Road Runner Sports. As a Sales Lead, you will play a key role in driving sales and profitability goals, while providing exceptional customer service and leading a team of sales associates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Experience: Ensure a WOW customer experience by maintaining a positive and welcoming store environment, and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing sales team by providing coaching, training, and recognition.
  • Sales and Profitability: Drive sales and profitability goals by analyzing business trends, identifying opportunities, and implementing effective solutions.
  • Visual Merchandising: Collaborate with the management team to plan and execute visual merchandising initiatives that drive sales and enhance the customer experience.
  • Inventory Management: Support and maintain strong inventory management and data integrity routines to ensure accurate inventory levels and minimize losses.
  • Operational Execution: Ensure operational excellence by maintaining a safe work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures, and supporting compliance activities.
  • Training and Development: Conduct new hire training for sales associates, including Perfect Fit Finder, and provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities.
  • Store Operations: Assist with opening and closing the store, and lead the sales floor in the absence of the Store Manager.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree from an accredited college or university and 1 year of related experience preferred.
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum of 1+ years of relevant leadership experience in a fast-paced specialty retail selling culture.
  • Skills: Excellent customer experience behaviors, strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, creative problem-solving, and sound decision-making skills.
  • Availability: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, depending on the needs of the business.
