The Sales and Service Team Member is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and sales support to customers in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Project a positive representation of Westlake Ace Hardware, greet customers entering and throughout the store, thank customers by name when possible, and provide a friendly, outgoing demeanor.
- Register Operations: Follow all cash register transaction procedures, balance the register drawer, and adhere to any Store Support Center program or promotion that may require implementation at the cash registers.
- Front End Appearance and Upkeep: Maintain a clean and organized front end, including checkout areas and entrance doors, and assist with decorating the front end according to the Store Support Center program.
- Other Essential Requirements: Perform all other duties as assigned, including assisting with pricing, stocking, marking, and bagging of merchandise, and participating in store and Sales and Service Team Member meetings.
- Education: High School or GED equivalent.
- Experience: Cashier experience preferred, customer service experience preferred.
- Physical Demands: Standing, walking, lifting (up to 25lbs), and climbing.
