Business Development Manager

At BBSI Portland, we're seeking a highly motivated and organized Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building strong relationships with clients, and driving revenue growth.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales and business development, with a strong understanding of the PEO industry and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to clients. You will be a self-starter, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through research, networking, and sales calls
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including regular communication and follow-up
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue growth targets
- Collaborate with the sales team to share best practices and drive sales growth
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments, and communicate this information to clients and the sales team
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in sales and business development, preferably in the PEO industry
- Proven track record of success in sales and business development
- Strong understanding of the PEO industry and its complexities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel up to 85% of the time, primarily locally with some overnight trips
