Job Overview

Role Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Mayfield Brain and Spine. The ideal candidate will provide essential nursing support to patients undergoing interventional pain management procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program with a valid and unrestricted nursing license in Ohio.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar nursing role is preferred.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is mandatory.
  • Prior experience with procedural nursing is required.

  • Comprehensive understanding of interventional pain management procedures and clinical office operations.
  • Proficient in performing clinical tasks and assisting in medical procedures.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

  • Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in high-pressure situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing patients for interventional pain procedures, including pre-procedure education and post-procedure recovery support.
  • Maintain accurate patient records by compiling necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with medical standards.
  • Conduct vital sign assessments and other necessary screenings as directed by the supervising physician.
  • Support the setup of sterile environments for procedures and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Monitor and document patient recovery progress following procedures.
  • Facilitate effective communication between patients and physicians, ensuring that patient needs are addressed promptly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety and health regulations.
  • Participate in team efforts by undertaking additional duties as required.
