Qualifications and Experience:
  • Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program with a valid and unrestricted nursing license in Ohio is essential.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a practical nursing role is preferred.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification is mandatory.
  • Prior experience in procedural settings is required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver nursing assistance to patients undergoing interventional pain procedures. Under physician supervision, prepare patients for procedures and support them during recovery. Provide education to patients and their families about interventional pain treatments.
Essential Functions:
  • Contribute to fostering a corporate culture that aligns with the mission and values of Mayfield Clinic.
  • Organize patient charts prior to appointments by compiling all relevant test results, imaging, and reports.
  • Prepare patients for procedures by monitoring vital signs and conducting necessary screenings as directed by the physician.
  • Adhere to medical record standards by documenting allergies, problem lists, and medication information accurately.
  • Assist in setting up sterile environments for procedures.
  • Exhibit proficiency in clinical office practices and provide essential clinical services.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and recovery progress post-procedure.
  • Maintain accurate medication logs.
  • Ensure efficient room turnover to optimize scheduling for procedures.
  • Uphold a safe and sanitary environment for patients and staff by following OSHA regulations regarding bloodborne pathogens.
  • Manage inventory of medical supplies and informational materials effectively.
  • Act as a communication bridge between physicians and patients, ensuring clear instructions and addressing patient needs promptly.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with physicians and support staff.
  • Handle all communications with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to enhance patient satisfaction during visits, accommodating diverse patient needs.
  • Utilize Mayfield technology for daily communications and information access.
  • Support team objectives by performing additional duties as required.
