- Identify and create alternative solutions to solve business needs and articulate the pros and cons of various approaches.
- Participate in internal and customer meetings to clarify requirements, formulate design approaches, and confirm they meet business needs.
- Lead collaboration with other product design teams to ensure integration and interfaces between products are integral to our planning and design process.
- Lead design discussions with System/Software Engineers and QA Analysts.
- Mentor intermediate and associate-level design team members.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Minimum 5 years' related experience in developing, enhancing, and supporting products using latest web technologies.
- Experience working as part of a Scrum team is required.
- Ability to work with appropriate tools, platforms, languages, and application programs for troubleshooting, testing, and coordinating to resolve reported software, data, or technical issues.
- Triaging defects, impact analysis, resolution planning of software architecture and application.
- Provides support for both software operations and technical support for licensed customers.
- Healthcare industry experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of ClaimsExchange QNXT QicLink Facets Crystal Reports is an added plus.
- 837 EDI, HIPAA transactions experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate with all levels of management.
- Strong presentation skills with ability to present to all levels of management.
- Working closely with team members to assess, enhance, maintain, and support software solutions to business problems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Good to excellent facilitation, negotiation, influencing, and problem-solving skills.
- Requires past experience with Windows OS, web services, MSSQL, SQL, PL SQL, and Stored Procedures.
The annual salary for this position is between $90K-$109K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
