Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Generalist to enhance our Headquarters team and facilitate People Operations initiatives. This role will report directly to the HR Director and will be instrumental in the administration, coordination, and implementation of company-wide HR policies, procedures, and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the onboarding process for new employees and trainees, including orientation, background checks, and paperwork completion.
  • Manage the offboarding process, which involves conducting exit interviews and finalizing necessary documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain precise employee records and HR documentation.
  • Assist management with administrative tasks, including annual audits and compliance checks.
  • Provide support in employee relations matters, addressing disputes, complaints, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with HR team members to respond to employee inquiries and assist local Executive Assistants.
  • Maintain and update the People Team space on Haystack, our intranet platform.
  • Support the development and management of departmental goals, systems, and projects.
  • Engage in various HR projects and initiatives aimed at supporting organizational objectives and enhancing HR processes.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in HR generalist roles or related fields, covering the employee lifecycle from recruitment to separation.
  • Strong understanding of HR practices and employment legislation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage change effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Resourceful team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at prioritizing tasks.
  • Proficient in MS Office and G-Suite applications.
  • Flexible and quick to learn new concepts and technologies.
  • Compliance with California drug screening requirements for hired candidates.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of experience in general people operations and business administration.
  • Familiarity with Paycor, Paycom ATS, and HRIS platforms.

Travel Requirements:

This position may involve up to 25% travel to regional offices and special projects, with occasional night and weekend availability required.

Compensation and Benefits:

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with hourly pay ranging from $23.00 to $31.00, based on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 5 weeks of paid time off (PTO), 13 paid holidays, commuter checks, a 403b retirement plan, and various insurance options.
