Thermal Refrigeration Quality Specialist

The Refrigeration Quality Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems at Johnson Thermal Systems. This position requires a strong understanding of the production process and the ability to assess the quality of the product throughout.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct product testing, including testing to support complaint investigations and stability verification.
- Conduct spot-checks inspections and audits of production operations.
- Generate product testing results reports and share them with necessary parties.
- Determine project requirements, including scope, assembly sequences, and required methods and materials, according to blueprints, drawings, and written or verbal instructions.
- Participate in the internal audit program and complete corrective action reports.
- Assist in writing and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), as well as supporting the document control program and record retention areas as necessary.
- Provide root cause analysis from field feedback.
- Recommend design changes and product improvements based on field feedback.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes and use relevant machines and tools.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- 2 years' experience in the commercial or industrial refrigeration industry (preferred)
- Knowledgeable of refrigeration system flow and operation.
- Refrigeration handling certification (preferred) or the ability to obtain one within six months.
- Brazing experience (preferred)
- Must be able to work from 10' ladders.
- HVAC & R field service experience a plus.
- Knowledge of jobsite safety and ability to always ensure a safe workplace.
