  • JOB SUMMARY: The Refrigeration Quality Assurance Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining JTS production schedules by assisting in the assembly and evaluation of the quality of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems.
This role requires a comprehensive understanding of all production phases and the ability to assess product quality consistently. The Refrigeration Quality Assurance Technician will work diligently to guarantee a high-quality product for our clients, operate efficiently, document all processes and procedures, and uphold a safe working environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct product testing, including assessments to support complaint investigations and stability verification.
Perform spot-check inspections and audits of production operations.
Generate and disseminate product testing results reports to relevant stakeholders.

Determine project requirements, including scope, assembly sequences, and necessary methods and materials, based on blueprints, drawings, and verbal or written instructions.

Participate in the internal audit program and complete corrective action reports.

Assist in drafting and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), as well as supporting the document control program and record retention as needed.

Provide root cause analysis based on field feedback.
Recommend design modifications and product enhancements based on field insights.
Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts and overhead cranes, utilizing relevant tools and equipment.

REQUIREMENTS:


High School Diploma or equivalent (required). 2 years of experience in the commercial or industrial refrigeration sector (preferred). Knowledgeable in refrigeration system flow and operation.

Refrigeration handling certification (preferred) or the ability to obtain one within six months. Brazing experience (preferred). Must be capable of working from 10' ladders.
HVAC & R field service experience is advantageous.
Understanding of jobsite safety protocols and the ability to maintain a safe workplace.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Strong attention to detail.
Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with individuals at all organizational levels.

Ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner - demonstrating dependability, productivity, and attention to detail.

Ability to adhere to procedures and accurately document results.

Ability to work in a heavy manufacturing environment, requiring the employee to stoop, kneel, or crouch throughout an 8-hour shift.

Ability to lift products, equipment, and tools up to 50 pounds and push or pull items weighing up to 100 pounds.

Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
