Thermal Refrigeration Quality Assurance Specialist

The Refrigeration Quality Assurance Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems at Johnson Thermal Systems. This position requires a strong understanding of the production process and the ability to assess the quality of the product throughout.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough product testing, including testing to support complaint investigations and stability verification.
- Perform regular spot-checks inspections and audits of production operations to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Generate detailed product testing results reports and share them with relevant stakeholders.
- Determine project requirements, including scope, assembly sequences, and required methods and materials, according to blueprints, drawings, and written or verbal instructions.
- Participate in the internal audit program and complete corrective action reports to identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in developing and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and supporting the document control program and record retention areas as necessary.
- Provide root cause analysis from field feedback to inform design changes and product improvements.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes, and use relevant machines and tools to perform duties.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- 2 years' experience in the commercial or industrial refrigeration industry (preferred)
- Knowledgeable of refrigeration system flow and operation
- Refrigeration handling certification (preferred) or the ability to obtain one within six months
- Brazing experience (preferred)
- Ability to work from 10' ladders
- HVAC & R field service experience a plus
- Knowledge of jobsite safety and ability to ensure a safe workplace
- Keen attention to detail
- Skilled at communication with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all organizational levels
- Ability to conduct oneself in a professional and appropriate manner
- Ability to follow procedures and accurately document results
- Ability to work in a heavy manufacturing environment requiring physical stamina
- Ability to carry product, equipment, and tools up to 50 pounds and push or pull product up to 100 pounds
- Ability to pass a background and drug screening
