JOB SUMMARY: The Quality Assurance Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our products and services. This position involves identifying opportunities for enhancement and assisting in the implementation of innovative practices. The technician will conduct inspections, tests, and evaluations to ensure compliance with the Johnson Thermal Systems Quality Management System.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Identify and report quality or compliance-related issues to the Quality Manager promptly.
  • Develop and maintain inspection reports, ensuring consistent application.
  • Analyze data and outcomes from various inspections and tests conducted.
  • Communicate complex technical information effectively to representatives from different departments.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Actively engage in continuous improvement initiatives at all levels.
  • Maintain calibration records for quality control instruments.
  • Adhere to all company standards and specifications.
  • Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and complete daily tasks.
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Assist in product inspections to ensure customer specifications are fulfilled.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college education preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of inspection and/or production experience preferred OR any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the job duties (required)
  • Experience in documenting, recording, reporting, and gathering evidence related to quality control functions.
  • Familiarity with interpreting and implementing ISO standards and document control.
  • Proficient in using computers, including all Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates respect for others and is a proven team player.
  • Knowledge of jobsite safety and a commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.
  • Strong attention to detail and an eye for identifying defects.
  • Experience working in various weather conditions, both indoors and outdoors.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while coordinating with others.
  • Demonstrated collaboration skills across all levels and departments.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Capability to lift or move up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Strong analytical and interpretative skills.
