URC RFMSS & SRP/ArcGIS Specialist - Vertex Limited

Vertex Limited is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Range Facility Management Support System (RFMSS) and Sustainable Range Program (SRP)/ArcGIS Specialist. This role requires a professional with extensive experience in Unified Land Operations, maneuver tactics, and live-fire range management. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring precise scheduling, documentation, and reporting of live-fire range operations and Situational Training Exercise (STX) events. Candidates must be U.S. citizens with proof of citizenship, a current U.S. passport, and possess a U.S. SECRET security clearance.

Job Overview:

The URC RFMSS & SRP/ArcGIS Specialist will operate under the guidance of the Training & Range Operations Maintenance Services (ATROMS) Plans Chief. Key responsibilities include managing RFMSS administration, coordinating unit range/resource scheduling, and facilitating SRP/ArcGIS functionalities to support units in their preparations for live-fire ranges and STX events. The specialist will collaborate closely with unit representatives and master gunners to assist in exercise planning as needed. A deep understanding of U.S. Military weapon systems, maneuver capabilities, and gunnery operations is essential. Additionally, the specialist will contribute to the in-country Program Management Office's objectives.

Work Schedule:

The standard work schedule consists of six (6) days per week, with up to eight (8) hours per day at OCONUS work sites, and a typical 40-hour work week at CONUS locations.

Key Responsibilities:

The URC RFMSS & SRP/ArcGIS Specialist will be tasked with:
  • Collaborating with unit Operations Officers, NCOs, and Master Gunners to organize unit maneuver and live-fire training events.
  • Coordinating scheduled range activities and resources to ensure readiness for training units.
  • Assisting training units in developing gunnery scenarios and live-fire exercises, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Providing expertise in the creation of new ranges to meet emerging training needs.
  • Coordinating all training for units operating through the ARTC.
  • Prioritizing unit training in accordance with established directives.
  • Participating in training meetings to ensure accurate scheduling of range resources.
  • Facilitating training priority meetings and communicating outcomes effectively.
  • Reviewing and updating the RFMSS schedule as necessary.
  • Maintaining awareness of training timelines and equipment requirements to prevent scheduling conflicts.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by the Program Manager.
Qualifications:
  • Extensive background in operations and training.
  • Ability to thrive in an austere environment.
  • Experience in planning and executing Unified Land Operations and range activities.
  • Knowledge of weapon systems within an Armored Brigade Combat Team.
  • Familiarity with range operations at major training sites.
  • Proficiency in RFMSS and SRP GIS operations.
  • Detail-oriented with strong adherence to safety guidelines.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong communication and time-management skills.
  • Capable of multitasking and engaging with military leaders and trainers.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with U.S. government contracts in Southwest Asia.
  • Completion of NCO Advanced Course or equivalent training.
  • Experience as Operations Sergeant Major.
  • Knowledge of military training methodologies and protocols.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and eight (8) years of related experience. Alternatively, eight (8) years of equivalent experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Completion of the Range Operations Professional Development Program within the designated timeframe.

Contractor personnel must adhere to all applicable policies, regulations, and General Orders. All positions are unaccompanied.
