Position Overview:
The URC RFMSS & SRP/ArcGIS Specialist at Vertex Aerospace LLC plays a crucial role in the administration of the Range Plans Range Facility Management Support System (RFMSS) and the Sustainable Range Program (SRP) utilizing ArcGIS. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of Unified Land Operations, maneuver strategies, and live-fire range operations.
Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will report directly to the ARCENT Training & Range Operations Maintenance Services (ATROMS) URC Plans Chief. Responsibilities include:
- Administering RFMSS and managing unit range/resource scheduling.
- Facilitating SRP/ArcGIS functionalities to support units in planning and executing live-fire ranges and Situational Training Exercise (STX) events.
- Collaborating with unit representatives and master gunners to assist in exercise planning.
- Providing expertise on U.S. Military weapon systems and operational capabilities.
- Supporting the in-country Program Management Office with various tasks.
Work Schedule:
The standard work week consists of six days, with up to eight hours per day at OCONUS sites, transitioning to a standard 40-hour work week at CONUS locations.
Qualifications:
Candidates must possess:
- A robust background in operations and training.
- Experience in a brigade or division staff role focused on Unified Land Operations.
- In-depth knowledge of weapon systems within an Armored Brigade Combat Team (ABCT).
- Expertise in RFMSS and SRP GIS operations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Education Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Training, Management, Business, or a related field from an accredited institution, along with eight years of relevant work experience. Alternatively, eight years of additional equivalent work experience may be accepted in lieu of the degree requirement.
All contractor personnel must adhere to theater command policies and regulations. This position requires an ACTIVE/CURRENT U.S. SECRET Security Clearance.
