- Training and Development: Collaborate with Store Directors, Director of Employee Development, Marketing, and owners to ensure training, skills, and tools are utilized to maintain optimal functioning and profitability.
- Culture and Customer Service: Lead, coach, teach, and reinforce Metcalfe's Market culture, customer service, and performance expectations to all employees.
- Talent Development: Train and coach others to develop talent in-store, serving as a mentor to staff and management.
- Financial Management: Provide expert knowledge through instruction, coaching, and development to enable department managers to achieve store objectives, including sales planning, ordering, inventory management, merchandising, and labor scheduling.
- Quality and Customer Service: Set and monitor standards regarding quality, variety, and general appearance of products, store conditions, and levels of customer service, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
- Market Trends and Industry Forecasts: Stay up-to-date with current market trends and industry forecasts to inform business decisions and drive growth.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent education/experience.
- Experience: 5 years of perishable grocery retail management/leadership experience preferred, with 2+ years of perishable grocery management/leadership experience required.
- Skills: Ability to multi-task several initiatives, work independently, and effectively present information to leadership.
- Technical Skills: Intermediate use of Microsoft software programs, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
