Role Summary:

As the Housekeeping Operations Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring the overall cleanliness and upkeep of our hotel, including supervising the laundry operations.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a comparable role within a unionized hotel setting, adept at managing teams under collective bargaining agreements.


Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the housekeeping team in alignment with Marriott standards and union protocols.
Conduct daily briefings to communicate objectives, ensuring all housekeeping tasks are clearly understood by the team.
Oversee the development and implementation of a seniority-based scheduling system, ensuring optimal staffing levels to achieve cleanliness targets.
Collaborate with the General Manager and Guest Service Manager to synchronize efforts in delivering outstanding customer service.
Work closely with the Engineering Department to establish and maintain preventative maintenance schedules.
Prioritize cleanliness, uphold Marriott standards, and ensure a positive guest experience.
Assist in evaluating the work of Housekeeping Inspectors, ensuring cleanliness standards are consistently met.
Utilize computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Teams and SharePoint, for effective communication and collaboration.
Demonstrate flexibility to work varied schedules based on departmental and hotel requirements.
Eligibility for a performance-based bonus linked to achieving cleanliness objectives, guest satisfaction metrics, and overall hotel profitability.

Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within a unionized hotel environment.
Experience managing teams under collective bargaining agreements.
Proficient in Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
Ability to develop and manage a seniority-based schedule.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Flexibility to adapt to varied schedules based on departmental and hotel needs.

Compensation and Benefits:

Competitive annual salary range:
$75,000 to $85,000.
Annual performance evaluations with opportunities for merit increases.
Eligibility for performance-based bonuses.
Comprehensive employee benefits package (Paid Medical Insurance after 60 days of employment).
