POSITION SUMMARY:

As the Housekeeping Manager at Crescent Services, you will oversee all housekeeping operations to ensure that the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction are consistently achieved.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate housekeeping staff, fostering open communication and addressing performance issues as necessary.
  • Provide clear guidance and direction to housekeeping and laundry personnel regarding their tasks.
  • Organize and supervise staff activities to ensure adherence to quality assurance standards, which involves regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas.
  • Manage the financial aspects of housekeeping and laundry services, including budgeting and inventory management. Analyze data and prepare reports related to expenses, labor, and supplies.
  • Delegate tasks effectively to maximize productivity while ensuring guest satisfaction and minimizing costs.
  • Monitor the use of cleaning supplies and chemicals, ensuring proper training and compliance with safety protocols.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and participate in relevant meetings to share and gather important information.
  • Assess the condition of furnishings and decor, making recommendations for maintenance and upgrades.
  • Communicate effectively with staff both verbally and in writing to provide clear instructions.
  • Maintain regular attendance and be available to work as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills in English, a self-motivated attitude, and a professional demeanor.

Key qualifications include:
  • Ability to collaborate with team members and assist colleagues as needed.
  • Knowledge of sanitation standards and the safe use of cleaning chemicals.
  • Understanding of housekeeping policies, particularly those related to safety and security.
  • Basic math skills for financial reporting and analysis.
  • Supervisory experience in managing housekeeping operations.
  • Ability to interact effectively with employees, vendors, and contractors.
  • Capability to coordinate with other departments regarding housekeeping services.
  • Physical ability to inspect rooms across multiple floors.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems for data entry and reporting.
